The New Church

We are grateful for any donation you could make towards realising our dream to restore this church and dedicate it to our local patron saints, Cuthbert of Lindisfarne, the Wonderworker, and Bede of Jarrow, the Venerable.

Works started in November 2019 and are ongoing. So far we completed the rebuilding of the Vestry, as well as a new extension (that houses the toilet block) at the back, the roof was repaired and the floor inside insulated. This first phase of works has been funded by a grant from the Romanian Government (through the State Secretariat for Religious Affairs) and the generosity of our donors. The next phase, which is due to start soon will see the interior being refurbished, as well as the installation of new windows and doors, and the water and electricity supply restored, amongst other things. We are appealing to all who can and wish to support this project in order to raise the funds necessary to continue works.

We urge all of you to pray that we may become worthy to worship in our new church and turn it into a permanent home for the Orthodox parish.
